Matt is a partner in audit & assurance for Crowe LLP and a partner for Crowe Advisory LLC. He also leads the private equity group. He has more than 20 years of experience serving public and private companies, including private equity-backed businesses, with financial statement audits, reviews, and attestation engagements. He also has experience delivering advisory services.

His expertise spans emerging-growth companies, founder-owned businesses, sponsor-backed platforms, and complex global enterprises. He has extensive experience with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and cross-border reporting matters, and he regularly coordinates with global component auditors and international engagement teams to deliver integrated service to clients with multinational operations.

Matt’s background is particularly relevant to private equity environments, where responsiveness, execution certainty, proactive communication, and experienced partner involvement are critical. He understands the reporting expectations of sponsors, lenders, boards, and portfolio company management teams, and he brings a practical, business-minded approach to managing audit and advisory relationships across growing and evolving organizations.

Matt has extensive experience serving companies across industries, including, consumer products, distribution, technology, software, and transportation. His industry background aligns closely with the needs of middle-market and private equity-backed companies, particularly those operating in growth-oriented, acquisitive, or internationally complex environments.

He regularly advises clients through significant business events, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, private financing transactions, and other capital markets or transaction-driven matters. His client base includes U.S.-based companies with substantial foreign operations, domestically domiciled entities with foreign ownership, and internationally domiciled companies with U.S. operations or reporting requirements.
