Gregory J. Buteyn

Gregory Buteyn is a partner in the tax services group at Crowe. He specializes in providing international tax services to outbound and inbound multinational companies and individuals across tax jurisdictions.

Gregory has more than 30 years of experience providing tax expertise to non-U.S. companies with U.S. investments and to U.S. multinational companies with cross-border transactions in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Gregory is an appointed member of the tax committee with the Crowe Global network and has a liaison role within the Asia-Pacific region. His areas of expertise include:

• International acquisition tax consulting 
• International tax outbound planning for U.S. companies
• U.S. inbound corporate tax planning
• Corporate international tax compliance
• Expatriate tax planning and compliance

Previously, Gregory led a Big Four firm’s international tax practice while working in Beijing, where he assisted U.S., South American, and European companies investing in China, and Chinese companies investing in the U.S. Gregory has also lived and worked in London and Amsterdam where he provided inbound and outbound tax transaction planning for European companies.
