Clayton Mitchell is the fintech managing principal at Crowe, leading multidisciplinary teams across audit, tax, advisory, and consulting to help clients navigate complex regulatory and technology environments. He also provides strategic guidance on responsible AI use in regulatory technology and risk management frameworks, supporting the firm’s AI governance initiatives.

He has more than 20 years of experience working with financial services organizations, including global fintechs, sponsor banks, and traditional banks with assets ranging from $1 billion to leading banking institutions. Clayton helps clients develop, evaluate, and enhance their risk and compliance management programs by establishing governance frameworks, controls, and reporting mechanisms that support compliance with applicable laws and regulations. He also helps organizations strengthen and optimize those functions to operate more efficiently and adapt responsibly to innovation and regulatory change.

Focused on advancing the financial services space, Clayton collaborates with industry consortiums and accelerators to promote innovation in regulatory technology and adaptive compliance solutions.
