CHICAGO (Dec. 11, 2019) – Crowe, a public accounting, consulting and technology firm with offices around the world, is again one of only 100 companies to be honored with a Glassdoor Best Places to Work Employees’ Choice Award in the large-company category, recognizing the best places to work in 2020. The Employees’ Choice Awards program is based solely on the input of current and former employees, who voluntarily post feedback on their jobs, work environments and employers on Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites.

Among the recognized drivers for success in the workplace and overall work-life balance among Crowe personnel are:
  • Mobility policy: With the flexibility of choosing when to work in the office and when to work off-site, personnel are often able to schedule around their personal and family events.
  • Career development: Crowe places a strong focus on professional and personal growth. Employees are provided a variety of tools and resources to support their development, such as access to continued learning with Crowe University and external training, leadership programs, secondments and transfer opportunities, along with ongoing support from the Crowe career coaching system.
  • Parental leave policy: The firm provides six weeks of full-paid time off for all new parents following the birth, adoption or act of custody of a child, plus an additional short-term disability period for birth mothers.
  • Innovation: Crowe invests about 1% of firm revenue in new product development funding to expand on ideas brought forward by its people, which provides personnel the opportunity to see their ideas brought to market. Last fiscal year, Crowe approved $8.7 million toward the exploration of 12 new ideas and further development of 15 existing concepts, including two solutions powered by artificial intelligence.
On Glassdoor, current and former employees voluntarily and anonymously share insights and opinions about their work environments in a company review, designed to capture an authentic inside look at what it may be like to work at a company. When sharing a company review on Glassdoor, employees are asked to rate their satisfaction with the company overall, and key workplace factors like career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, senior management and work-life balance.

“Unlike other workplace awards, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award is based entirely on our current personnel and former employees taking the extra steps to share how they feel about Crowe. It’s special to be recognized in that way,” said Crowe CEO Jim Powers.

To be considered for the large-company category, a company must have at least 1,000 employees and have received at least 75 ratings across the eight workplace attributes.
