Glassdoor Best Place to Work
CHICAGO (Dec. 5, 2018) – Crowe, a public accounting, consulting and technology firm with offices around the world, has been honored for the first time with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, recognizing the best places to work in 2019. The Employees’ Choice Awards program, now in its 11th year, is based solely on the input of employees, who elect to post feedback on their jobs, work environments and employers on Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites.

The firm's mobility policy is recognized as a driver for success in the workplace and overall work-life balance among Crowe personnel. With the flexibility of choosing when to work in the office and when to work off-site, personnel are often able to schedule around their personal and family events.

Another driver for Crowe’s recognition as a best workplace is its parental leave policy, which is composed of six weeks of full-paid time off for all new parents following the birth, adoption or act of custody of a child, plus an additional short-term disability period for birth mothers. Crowe parents can take the leave in full or in two-week increments within a one-year period.

“Earning the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award is special since it is decided upon only from reviews our people posted onto Glassdoor, sharing how they feel about Crowe,” said Crowe CEO Jim Powers.

On Glassdoor, current and former employees voluntarily and anonymously share insights and opinions about their work environments in a company review, designed to capture an authentic inside look at what it may be like to work at a company. When sharing a company review on Glassdoor, employees are asked to rate their satisfaction with the company overall, and key workplace factors like career opportunities, compensation and benefits, culture and values, senior management and work-life balance.

Glassdoor’s 2019 Best Places to Work – Employees’ Choice Awards list was determined using company reviews shared by U.S.-based employees between Oct. 23, 2017 and Oct. 21, 2018. To be considered for the large-company category, a company must have at least 1,000 employees and have received at least 75 ratings across each of eight workplace attributes.
