Crowe selected as continuingmember of the HITRUST® External Assessor Council
CHICAGO (March 11, 2020) – Crowe LLP, a public accounting, consulting and technology firm with offices around the world, announced that it is extending its term on the HITRUST External Assessor Council (the Council) as a continuing member. The Council is comprised of 10 authorized HITRUST External Assessors and one HITRUST executive, and represents a wide variety of organizations supporting the healthcare and public health sector. The varying opinions and diverse expertise provide valuable insights to the success of the industry and respective companies, with the goal of creating more value for customers.
Crowe was first appointed to the Council in 2018 and will serve a second two-year term. “Crowe is dedicated to helping organizations mature their information protection programs and better demonstrate their efforts to their executive leadership and board, customers and other stakeholders through obtaining HITRUST certification,” said Erika Del Giudice, principal in the IT assurance services group at Crowe. “We believe the Council is an invaluable way to share our insights from working with our HITRUST clients and to learn from others.”

The Council was created to ensure that authorized HITRUST External Assessors working with any industry are able to provide input and influence the HITRUST CSF Assurance program to ensure its integrity, effectiveness and practicality. Authorized HITRUST External Assessors such as Crowe serve as a key component of the Council and will interact regularly with HITRUST to share challenges and opportunities relating to HITRUST service offerings.
