Crowe named to Best Workplaces for Parents list for fifth year
Crowe Parents Network provides camaraderie and support during pandemic
CHICAGO (Dec. 2, 2020) – Crowe LLP, a public accounting, consulting and technology firm in the U.S. with offices around the world, was named to the Great Place to Work® Best Workplaces for Parents™ list for the fifth consecutive year. To compile this list, parents and nonparents representing more than 4.8 million U.S. employees were surveyed.
Crowe parents have shared they feel trusted and supported by their teams and leaders to set a schedule and workflow that works for them, their clients and their team. This trust has extended even further as many parents juggle unexpected home life adjustments, such as e-learning and/or changes in childcare arrangements.

After discovering the seemingly consistent desire for a Crowe space to discuss the challenges of balancing family life and careers, Cunningham and her colleagues started advocating for and building the Crowe Parents Network, which she currently chairs.
The Crowe Parents Network now boasts tailored support and offers virtual meetings, advice and resources. Everyone at Crowe is invited to be part of the meetings – whether they’re a parent, thinking of becoming a parent or want to learn more about how they can support Crowe parents on their team.
“The network started coming together before the COVID-19 pandemic unexpectedly added another layer to many families’ already hectic lives,” said Mandi Simpson, a partner champion for the Crowe Parents Network and mother of two young children. “There’s now a need for this group more than ever and I’m glad we have the foundation in place to offer support to our Crowe parents.”
The network’s first virtual event welcomed more than 400 participants who were organized by their children’s ages so people could also build smaller support groups and discuss similar experiences. Resources from the events, such as discussions, tips, tools and resources are all archived on the Family Resource Community intranet page to allow easy access for Crowe professionals.
Firms named to this Best Workplaces for Parents list were determined based on responses to the Great Place to Work survey, covering topics like work-life balance, how parents’ workplace experiences compare to those of nonparent colleagues and what parents said about their experiences of trust and reaching their full potential at work.

- Mobility policy: The firm introduced its Where to Work policy in 2016. This forward-thinking policy meant that Crowe parents already had the support and technology tools necessary to transition to remote work when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
- Parental leave policy: The firm provides six weeks of full-paid time off for all new mothers and fathers following the birth, adoption or act of custody of a child, plus an additional short-term disability period for birth mothers. Approximately 265 Crowe individuals used parental leave last fiscal year.
- Adoption reimbursement: Crowe recognizes the financial impact of adoption and offers financial assistance for personnel who are adopting.
