Crowe Bompani's CFO Services division offers operational and strategic support to its clients, assisting them during periods of growth, reorganization, or transformation.
Our services range from management control and financial planning to business planning and performance management, as well as temporary or fractional CFO solutions.

 

Management control and financial planning

  • Budgeting & forecasting: we assist management in building and reforecasting integrated budgets (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow), aligning operational drivers and strategic objectives. We perform variance and what-if scenario analyses, introducing closing schedules and approval workflows to enhance the quality of the process.
  • Financial and operational KPIs: we design KPI dashboards that connect financial, operational, and commercial performance, from defining metrics to data collection and data governance. We implement self-service dashboards and accountability mechanisms for targets and alert thresholds.
  • Customer/product profitability analysis: we build cost allocation and margin models by customer/product/channel, identifying mix, pricing, and related costs that impact the result.

Treasury and operational finance

  • Cash flow management & forecasting models: we develop short-term (weekly/monthly) and medium-term cash forecasting models, integrating orders, collections, payments, and investments. We define liquidity buffer policies, covenant monitoring, and action plans for liquidity stress.
  • Working capital optimization: we analyze the O2C (Order-to-Cash) cycle, P2P (Procure-to-Pay) and inventory cycles to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)/DIO (Days Inventory Outstanding) and optimize DPO (Days Payable Outstanding), with interventions on credit policy, terms & conditions, inventory, and S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning). We support initiatives such as supply chain finance and process review to free up sustainable cash.
  • Banking/funding relationship management: we prepare information packages for financial institutions (business plans, KPIs, covenant headroom) and assist management in negotiating short/medium-term lines of credit.
  • Treasury and cash pooling policy: we design treasury policies (limits, delegations, instruments) and centralized organizational models. We design and implement physical or virtual cash pooling solutions, with control frameworks and daily reporting.
     

Compliance & Reporting

  • Executive and management reporting packs: we create clear and timely reporting packs for C-level executives and departments, with key indicators, variance analyses, and management comments. We define roles, deadlines, and responsibilities (RACI) for reliable and scalable fast-close.
  • Reports for investors and boards: we design board/investor packs with financial and operational KPIs, cash flow trends, covenants, and outlooks. We take care of the narrative and consistency of messages, preparing templates and communication calendars in line with best practices in governance and transparency towards stakeholders.
  • IFRS adoption: we conduct gap analyses between local standards and IFRS, defining accounting policies and impacts on processes and systems. We manage the conversion (first-time adoption), prepare financial statement notes, and support disclosure. We provide targeted training and operational tools to maintain compliance over time.
  • Tax and corporate compliance (support): we coordinate the execution of tax and corporate obligations with internal functions and client advisors, ensuring complete documentation and compliance with deadlines. We monitor risks and controls, standardize checklists, and provide visibility on the status of activities.

Fractional/Interim CFO

  • Interim CFO: we temporarily take over the finance function, ensuring continuity in planning, treasury, reporting, and compliance. We lead the team, stabilize critical processes, and manage stakeholders (banks, investors, auditors), preparing the handover to the incoming CFO.
  • Fractional CFO (part-time for SMEs): we offer an on-demand CFO service with periodic, high-impact interventions focused on planning, control, liquidity management, and dialogue with banks and investors. We bring advanced methods and tools with a flexible and sustainable model for growing SMEs.
  • Finance team coaching and training: we design upskilling courses on closing, reporting, planning, and controls. We support the team on the job with manuals, templates, and KPIs to make skills autonomous and scalable. We measure results with improvement plans and follow-up sessions.

Outsourcing of business processes (BPO) 

Accounting management support: we provide operational support on R2R (Record-to-Report): accounting, periodic closings, reconciliations. We review accounting procedures and manuals, reducing errors and closing times. We introduce controls and automations for accurate and audit-ready accounting.
