In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has expanded coverage of telehealth services temporarily. Medicare will pay qualified providers to furnish telehealth services to beneficiaries regardless of the setting of care. Coverage also allows for a wider variety of communications technologies.
