Adtower Limited and Wide Eye Outdoor merger creates Ireland’s largest Digital Out of Home Network
Crowe is delighted to have provided advice to Adtower and its management team on its recent merger with Wide Eye Outdoor. The merger creates the largest Digital Out of Home (DOOH) network in Ireland, with close to 1,000 digital screens.
Established in 2011, Adtower has developed an extensive network of digital media screens. With its pioneering technology the company has a successful track record as an innovator and disrupter in the Out of Home (OOH) industry.
Adtower’s digital screens have the ability to deliver contextual campaigns where real-time data may be incorporated to communicate a message appropriate to the time of day, location and even the weather. Their dynamic content abilities at high footfall locations signal a game changer for the way advertisers can choose to communicate with their potential customers.
Digital has transformed Out of Home into an increasingly dynamic, adaptive, innovative and interactive medium. The growth of Ireland’s OOH advertising market over the last three years has been primarily attributed to Digital Out of Home products. In 2020 digital is estimated to have contributed one third of all OOH revenue. The DOOH market share is expected to continue to grow significantly during 2021.
Speaking about the transaction, Naoise Cosgrove, corporate finance partner commented: “We were pleased to assist a long-term client of ours with this transformational transaction. We look forward to watching the proposed synergies add value to the enlarged group going forward.”
Vincent Whelan, Managing Director Adtower, adds: “We are delighted to complete the merger with Wide Eye Outdoor, which further strengthens our position in the strategically important Digital Out of Home advertising market.”
