Crowe Newsletter – Q3 2018

We are pleased to share with you the latest issue of our quarterly newsletter, keeping you up to date with all the latest news from Crowe.

Many of you will have noted the continued evolution of the firm’s name. Being part of a global family of independently owned firms, we made the decision to trade under the simplified name of Crowe. Over our 77-year history our firm name has changed a number of times but the ethos and client-centred service remains steadfast.

Over the last few months the firm has made a number of senior appointments to the tax team. Lisa Kinsella has been appointed to the partner group and I very much look forward to working alongside her. We are delighted to have welcomed Alison D’Arcy, who joined us at the beginning of September as a tax director. Earlier in the year Maeve Corr joined us as head of private client services for the firm. These senior appointments reflect the ongoing growth and broadening of the firm’s tax service offering.

Our M&A team has also been extremely busy with a number of high-profile transactions, including the sale of Donnybrook Fair to the Musgrave Group and the sale of Kings Laundry to French multinational Elis plc. Congratulations to partner Brian Geraghty for leading both those deals.

Finally, we are very proud of our staff who embarked on an ambitious charity initiative in support of a local Depaul homeless hostel on Little Britain Street in Dublin city centre. The staff-led CSR committee organised a range of volunteering and fundraising activities across the spring and summer months to lend much-needed support to this worthy charity.
