Job purpose

The post holder will lead the delivery of assignments and be responsible for the effective delivery of high-quality assignments to fieldwork completion and report stage, within the required timescale. The post holder will also supervise and direct junior team members during assignments.

Key result areas

  • Assist with the completion of all aspects of receivership, liquidation and other related insolvency projects.
  • Assist with the delivery of a broad range of financial monitoring projects as directed by the immediate manager.
  • Provide administration support with property transactions and assist teams with undertaking asset management assignments as required.
  • Ensure that projects and cases are satisfactorily completed and within agreed timescales.
  • Continue to observe and develop skills and knowledge in the areas of Practice Management and Client Relationship in full compliance with Crowe’s policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Corporate Finance & Restructuring team as required by providing support on a range of multiple assignments concurrently and learn to ensure the most effective and efficient use of time and resources at all times.
  • Liaise closely and build effective working relationships with client and internal staff in other departments (e.g. Audit, Tax and Company Secretarial) to facilitate and support clients.
  • Ensure the Partners/Directors are appropriately briefed at all times to include any issues arising on assignments, projects and tasks being undertaken and any performance problems.
  • Focus on job ownership, completion, and efficient time recovery.
  • Supervision and support of interns and training staff members.
  • Provision of outputs to managers and partners with a high degree of accuracy and having completed their own checks and sign off.
  • Quality and complete soft copy file set-up and maintenance with focus on paper light office protocol.

Person specification

Essential knowledge & skills:

  • Currently pursuing ACA/ ACCA exams (Part Qualified).
  • Demonstrable understanding of risk, and Companies Act 2014 and awareness of topical issues.
  • Basic knowledge of the development of Corporate Finance & Restructuring strategies and Terms of Engagement for individual engagements.
  • Proven ability to work on a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project Management skills plus the proven ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at any one time.

  • People Leadership: Proven ability to listen, build rapport, influence and build relationships & keen to develop career into a more senior management role. Proven experience in supervising graduate trainees.
  • Practice Management: Proven ability to focus on performance, meeting deadlines and producing results. A proven decision maker, evidence of sound judgement and common sense.
  • Client Leadership: Strong networker. Displays confidentiality, confidence, agility and affinity with client and sector specialisms.
  • Business Development: Take ownership of learning, empathy with client needs, seeks way to improve. Evidence of enthusiasm and keeps abreast of developments in this sector.
