Job purpose

Crowe is a leading business advisory and accountancy firm, ranking among the top 10 firms in Ireland. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are now seeking to recruit a senior manager to join a busy, dynamic Corporate Finance department. The firm currently has 14 partners and over 140 staff.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the completion of corporate finance engagements / projects including M&A buy-side and sell-side advisory, valuations, strategic advisory, debt and equity fundraising, financial modelling, preparation of business plans and Independent Business Reviews (IBRs). The post holder will also supervise and direct trainees during assignments.

Key result areas

  1. Manage the completion of corporate finance engagements / projects including M&A buy-side and sell-side advisory, valuations, strategic advisory, debt and equity fundraising, financial modelling, preparation of business plans and IBRs.
  2. Proactively and reactively provide consultative advice to clients and Partners on specific projects and deliver within the agreed specified time frames.
  3. Work alongside and support Partners to originate new business opportunities and proactively develop and maintain new and existing client portfolios, relationships and key intermediaries.
  4. Lead and manage relevant project teams and work flow plans in order to deliver a high quality client service within the specified timescales.
  5. Ensure all relevant client files are administered, maintained and accurately filed in line with the firm’s policies.
  6. Proactively manage WIP / Debtor Ledger in keeping with the firm’s policies.
  7. Be fully conversant and understand the authority levels of this role and those of all relevant stakeholders to ensure full compliance with the firm’s policies, procedures and regulations.
  8. Manage the day-to-day supervision, on-the-job training and mentoring of junior staff and fully participate in all Performance Management initiatives as required.

Person specification

Essential knowledge & skills:

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification plus 3-5 + PQE.
  • Previous experience working in a corporate finance role in a professional practice or in industry.
  • Highly skilled at financial analysis and financial modelling.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven Project Management skills and experience. Must enjoy managing a wide range of multiple tasks/projects at any one time.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.
  • Commercially savvy and astute with an analytical mindset.

  • People Leadership: Proven ability to listen, build rapport, influence and build relationships & keen to develop career into a more senior management role. Proven experience in supervising trainee accountants.
