Alan is a Director and lead of the firm’s internal audit and risk consulting practice. A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, he joined Crowe in 2017.
Alan possesses many years’ experience of successfully leading the provision of internal audit, risk management and corporate governance services to a wide range of clients in Ireland and the UK. He brings to bear a significant level of insight into the issues and challenges facing Government Departments and State Bodies in respect of risk and governance, and his recent professional experience also includes numerous clients in the not-for-profit and private sectors.
In addition to leading the ongoing delivery of outsourced and co-sourced internal audit services, Alan possesses specialist expertise and experience in:
- Risk identification, evaluation, management and reporting
- Assessing clients’ structures and processes for supporting corporate governance
- Reviewing the effectiveness of organisations’ Internal Audit functions in meeting professional standards
- Development and delivery of training tools and templates
