Jarateng Ben Agolla Makalliwa

Mr Jarateng is a fully qualified chartered and certified accountant and a member of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). He also have BSc degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK. In addition, he has an ACIB (Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers) UK qualification and is a member of the Kenya Institute of Bankers.He also has PRINCE 2 (Foundation) professional qualification in project management.
In addition, Jarateng has extensive technical and practical experience in banking and accountancy. This includes over 10 years in senior management in banking and 7 years as finance manager.He was Corporate Manager in Barclays Bank for over 4 years and Senior Manager in charge of administration plus Corporate and SME credit-writing portfolios at CfC Bank (now CfC Stanbic) for 6 years.
Besides, he worked in senior financial management positions in Nottingham Credit Union, Langley Hall Primary Academy and The London Library all in the UK. He led in and prepared financial statements and information including financial proposals, financial projections, budgets, cash flow forecasts, management accounts, annual accounts and draft audited accounts. He also prepared audit schedules and was the principal contact person for auditors during audit. He was also a member of the Internal Audit team at Barclays Bank for 5 years.
He also has strong experience in management of cooperative societies particularly credit unions which are the UK version of sacco societies in Kenya.He was responsible for the entire financial management of Nottingham Credit Union and also participated in general administration of the Credit Union for 7 years.
Furthermore,he has longstanding experience in project management. This includes a merger project at Nottingham Credit Union. He also project managed the setting up of Barclays Plaza corporate branch which was the first of its kind in the bank.
He has a high degree of integrity and professional ethic. He is also dynamic and innovative. This is supported by various achievements in his previous roles in banking and accountancy. He introduced effective changes and exceeded targets.
He endeavours to maintain all this as he moves from working in industry to work in accountancy practice with Crowe Erastus & Company. His focus and determination is to deliver quality and efficient customer service to every client.
