The Great Challenge of Tax Reform: Compliance, Taxpayer Rights and Tax Justice

Organized by the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Syracuse, the event will bring together leading representatives from institutions, academia and the tax profession to discuss the most significant developments in the Italian tax reform process.

The conference will focus on key issues including tax compliance, the enhancement of taxpayer-administration dialogue, the use of advanced analytical tools and algorithms in tax audits, and the ongoing transformation of the tax justice system.

Among the distinguished speakers will be Piergiorgio Valente, President of CFE Tax Advisers Europe, who will participate in the panel dedicated to “The Evolution of Compliance, the Fight Against Tax Evasion and New Algorithms for Tax Controls.” Drawing on his extensive international experience, he will provide insights into tax transparency, cooperative compliance and the future of tax administration.

Special attention will also be given to the participation of Massimo Conigliaro, President of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Syracuse and long-standing collaborator of Crowe Valente. He will deliver the opening institutional remarks and conclude the conference with the final reflections of the day.

The programme also features contributions from Elbano de Nuccio, President of the Italian National Council of Chartered Accountants, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Maurizio Leo, Carolina Lussana, President of the Council of Presidency of Tax Justice, together with senior representatives of the tax administration, the Guardia di Finanza and academia.
