Audit Manager

Location(s): Paramaribo, Suriname

The role

The audit manager is primarily responsible for the planning and performance of financial audits and other assurance-related assignments. Contributing in a proactive way about continuous quality improvement of the engagements, quality control on firm level, as well as contributing to the formulation of the strategies of our organization.

Main responsibilities

Leading audit teams;
Planning and performing audits and other assurance-related assignments;
Visiting clients on-site and being the point of contact for the client throughout the year;
Executing IFRS related assignments;
Proactively contributing to continuous quality improvement of audit assignments;
Contributing to the design of the organization policy;
Contributing to the technical skill and knowledge development of other colleagues;

Minimum requirements

Certified accountant or in progress of completion (Registered Accountant, Accountants Administration Consultant, Association of Charted Certified Accountants, Certified Public Accountant);
Knowledge of IFRS;
Knowledge of CaseWare, ShareFile and other audit tools;
Fluent in both Dutch and English in reading, speaking and writing;
Preferably at least 3 years’ work experience in a similar position;
