Grounded in communities

Our Story, Our Future

We act with integrity and purpose to empower innovative and inclusive communities and to support a thriving environment for generations to come

Our Commitments

Creating equal access

With our regional footprint, our people and our clients resonate with the impact that isolation from health care accessibility and inequity in education has on access to opportunities. Our sustainability strategy builds on strong foundations, including the The Findex Community Fund (FCF), which was established to mirror this connection to isolation and address the need to create equal access to opportunities in the areas of health, education and entrepreneurship across Australasia.

We have a long-standing promise to create a positive impact for our clients, our people, and the communities in which we live and work, and we look forward to continuing to work with and empower charities that improve access to health care, educate young people and work towards a successful and sustainable future.

What we are aiming to do:

  • Work with the Findex Community Fund to support increased financial literacy and empowerment amongst traditionally disenfranchised groups, including people with a disability, older generations, Aboriginal and Torres Strait and Māori peoples, women, migrants, refugees and people whose first language is not English.

  • Run academy style, financial literacy sessions for the communities in which the Findex Group operates. Partner with a charitable organisation to upskill the communities in which they operate.

Responsible procurement

Responsible procurement

As a business and major employer in over 100 locations around New Zealand and Australia, the Findex Group has a unique opportunity to support community groups, sporting organisations, schools and businesses in the communities that we are connected to.

Our ambition for responsible procurement is to drive investment into human capital - our business' relationship with the communities in which we operate.

We strive to support growing populations and economies in regional communities through investment, job creation and support for local business and community endeavours. Our sustainability agenda expands our services and support for communities.

What we are aiming to do:

  • Update our Procurement Policy to address 'responsible procurement' to increase engagement aligned with the economic, environmental and social pillars of the Findex Group's Sustainability Strategy.

  • Establish relationships with impact-driven procurement organisations.

Cultural connection

While our people come together across New Zealand and Australia as a united team through a one best way approach to offer the best solutions for our clients, we acknowledge the respective histories and cultures for both nations individually.

In New Zealand, the Māori culture is a national treasure, and we strive to embed a Māori responsiveness lens, where our people engage in an effective, enduring and valued way.

In Australia, we recognise the significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australian history and identity and strive to be united by our shared past, present and future humanity.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan and Māori Engagement Plan guide respectful engagement across New Zealand and Australia.

What we are aiming to do:

  • In Aotearoa / New Zealand, establish meaningful and respectful relationships with Māori communities and organisations.

  • In Australia, develop, publish and implement a Reconciliation Action Plan.

Supporting our communities

Supporting our communities

Across New Zealand and Australia, 75% of our offices are based in regional and rural locations and through the materiality assessment process conducted in 2021, more than two-fifths of the responses were from people based in regional locations.

Through this process, the voices of our regional clients have been heard, and we strive to address the issues, risks and opportunities that are most important to the clients we service.

Our Sustainability Strategy further supports economic growth in regional communities, drives job creation and youth employment, supports greater financial literacy, drives entrepreneurship, and reduces the environmental impacts of economic growth.

What we are aiming to do:

  • Help grow and connect communities both physically, and through our online initiatives, such as FoundX, help mobilise regional entrepreneurship and create value for local startups in a post COVID-19 world.

  • Support local individuals and businesses to better organise their financial position through our growing support local event series.
