Tax advisory services for returning overseas Koreans

Koreans who moved abroad for work and now wish to return home after retirement need administrative support so tax concerns do not stand in the way of resettling in Korea.
Through individualized consultations, eligible individuals (overseas Koreans who have resided abroad for 10 years or more and wish to return to Korea) may now receive guidance on tax matters related to their return to Korea, including tax residency status and other key tax considerations.
How to request a consultation
Step 1: Eligible returnees complete a consultation request form and submit it by email ([email protected]) or fax (0503-110-9071).
Step 2: Receive an individual consultation by video call or phone covering the key tax matters related to returning to Korea.
The service has been available since July 1, 2026.
