Crowe Global Appoints In-House Legal Counsel
Crowe Global (Crowe) named Cynthia Butera as In-House Legal Counsel, effective July 1, 2025.

Butera, has previously served as Crowe Global’s outside General Counsel in her capacity as Partner with a national law firm.

As in-house General Counsel, Butera will leverage her 25 years of experience as a licensed New York attorney handling commercial litigation matters, engaging in commercial contract drafting and negotiation, and assisting clients in governance matters, to support the team with operational risk management, governance, and network legal guidance.

Butera began her professional career as an auditor for a New York based accounting firm and is a licensed CPA. During her legal career, Butera has concentrated her practice on representation of accountants and accounting firms.

In her capacity as a legal counselor for the accounting profession, Butera not only handled litigation for accounting firms, but she also provided consulting and advisory services to accountants and tax professionals in the areas of ethics, risk management, and professional responsibility.
