Crowe Global Appoints New Co-chairman

Jim Powers CEO of Crowe LLP (USA) is elected as co-chair of the Crowe Global Board.

Crowe Global (Crowe), the eighth largest accounting network in the world, appoints Jim Powers, CEO of Crowe LLP, as new co-chairman of the Board. Jim Powers and Jiantao Yang, Chair of Crowe China Group, were unanimously elected for a period of two years commencing 1 January, 2021. Jim Powers takes over from Charles Allen who served as co-chairman of the network since 2015.

Jim Powers will step down as CEO of Crowe LLP, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States on 31 March, 2021 after completing his second term, the maximum in accordance with the firm’s partnership agreement.

David Mellor, CEO of Crowe comments: “The addition of Jim as co-chairman brings with it a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience. Jim has led the firm in the United States through several significant changes, his deep understanding of agility and adaptability is a welcome addition to the team.”

David Mellor adds: “I have worked with Jim as both a board member of Crowe and the CEO of a major member firm, for the past six years. The role of co-chairman is an important one: it is key to the network’s successful navigation through current global market conditions. I am delighted Jim is joining us on this exciting journey as co-chairman.”
