This is a form of alternative dispute resolution whereby a subject matter expert is appointed by two or more parties to make a determination on certain issues that are in dispute. This determination is normally final and binding on the parties (in the absence of fraud or manifest error).

We have significant experience acting as Expert Determiners across various issues including post-M&A disputes, accounting treatment and other valuation issues.

We are also able to assist in the Expert Determination process by supporting a party to an Expert Determination in preparing detailed and robust submissions to aid the selected Expert Determiner.
