This webinar, delivered by specialists in our VAT team, will look at how VAT is accounted for e-commerce sales in the EU and the UK. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions throughout.

What we will cover

The EU e-commerce VAT Package has now been in place for more than a year. It has fundamentally changed how VAT is accounted for on e-commerce sales for goods delivered from outside the EU and also within the EU. The UK has also changed how VAT is accounted for on e-commerce sales since 1 January 2021. Many organisations are still facing challenges in providing an attractive customer buying experience with being VAT compliant.

We will look at how the rules work in practice in the EU and the UK, and what solutions are available to account for VAT correctly.

  • Overview of EU e-commerce VAT package.
  • Understanding and using One Stop Shops (OSS) in the EU.
  • Importing goods into the UK and what you need to know.
  • Potential changes in the future.
  • Case studies demonstrating the solutions that are available and common pitfalls.
