While all board members have a duty to act in the best interests of charities, Audit Committees have a particular role in providing independent oversight, scrutiny and challenge to the executive over the organisation's financial reporting and assurance processes. The expert challenge of the Audit Committee can help charities focus on what is important and how best to manage risk; this has never been more important than it is now, when charities are facing a myriad of risks and uncertainties.
We'll be looking at the role of the audit committee and how this has been evolving in light of the current challenges. You’ll be able to join the discussion in a live Q&A.
