Cybercrime has been making headlines but law firms continue to be at risk from other forms of criminal activity, including the facilitation of tax evasion.

Over the last 12 months, the risks of being a victim of fraud have considerably increased. It remains vital that firms do all they can to protect their assets, data and people and, importantly, are able to demonstrate regulatory compliance.

Join us on Tuesday 27 April at 09:30 and hear practical advice and guidance on the Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO) legislation from Jim Gee, Crowe’s National Head of Forensic Services.

What we will cover

We are pleased to be joined by Jim Gee, National Head of Forensic Services at Crowe, who will be speaking about a range of relevant issues including:

  • what firms need to do to avoid a corporate prosecution under the Criminal Finances Act for failure to prevent the facilitation of tax evasion
  • the latest news and developments in respect of cybercrime and fraud.

The session will be facilitated by Ross Prince, Professional Practices Partner at Crowe. There will be an opportunity for everyone to share queries, concerns and ideas.

Who should attend

The event will be of particular value to law firm COFAs and COLPs along with senior members of their finance and compliance teams.

Please forward this invitation to members of your organisation who may find the update useful.
