Care Sector Virtual Roundtable

Building on the success of our previous Care Sector roundtable in 2020, this session will continue where we left off and provide an open forum for sharing knowledge and experience in the sector. Anything discussed will be kept strictly under Chatham House Rule. 

What we will cover

• VAT and the Care Sector, including;
• how to improve VAT recovery
• recent issues that clients have experienced when doing so
• which Local Authorities (LAs) and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have been receptive and those which haven’t
• First-hand practical insight from Ian Hill, Director of Resources at Together UK (and Treasurer/Trustee at AGE UK Kensington and Chelsea).  
• Tim Redwood, an audit partner in our Non Profit team, will cover the common trading subsidiary governance questions we are regularly asked. 
• An opportunity to join the conversation and raise any issues impacting the sector.

In advance of the roundtable: 

We welcome you to input into our live list of LAs and CCGs who you have had either positive or negative experiences with when recovering VAT so we can report developments to the group as a whole. Please send your lists tot Kieran Smith by email. All information will be anonymised and then shared with those in the group so all can benefit.
