Assistant Manager, Audit Technical & Training

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform internal quality assurance review.
  • Analyse audit risk areas and evaluate adequacy of audit disposition.
  • Review adequacy of audit procedures and work done.
  • Examine compliance with ISAs and IFRSs.
  • Recommend corrective action and suggest improvement.
  • Document the results of review.
  • Develop recommendations and reports based on the review and discuss findings with directors & partners.
  • Formulate professional development and educational plans for junior staff members (conduct trainings to junior staff).
  • Conduct research and development on accounting and auditing standards.

Requirements

  • Have a Degree in Accountancy or any professional qualification.
  • Possess a minimum 5 years of audit working experience, with strong knowledge of international and local accounting as well.
  • Be proficient, both written and spoken English & Bahasa Malaysia as well as possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be able to prioritize activities, manage timelines, and deal effectively with pressure.
  • Possess good command of spoken and written English.
  • Computer literate, well versed in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and day to day office applications.
  • Motivated, result oriented and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
