Assistant Manager, Audit Technical & Training

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform internal quality assurance review.
  • Analyse audit risk areas and evaluate adequacy of audit disposition.
  • Review adequacy of audit procedures and work done.
  • Examine compliance to ISAs and IFRSs.
  • Conduct research and development on accounting and auditing standards and document the results of review.  
  • Prepare standard working papers or checklists for auditing.
  • Perform audit engagement file review & conduct meetings with Managers and Partners to deliberate deficiencies noted.
  • Develop corrective actions, recommendations and reports based on the review.
  • Conduct trainings on accounting or auditing standards to the internal staff.

Requirements

  • Possess a Degree in Accountancy or any professional qualification.
  • Possess a minimum 5 years of audit working experience, with strong knowledge of international and local accounting as well as auditing standards.
  • Familiar with other statutory requirements in relation to financial reporting.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English & Bahasa Malaysia as well as possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize activities, manage timelines, and deal effectively with pressure.
  • Have excellent analytical, organizational and coordination skills.
  • Computer literate, well versed in Microsoft Office and other day to day office applications.
  • Motivated, result oriented and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
