Crowe Launches the Crowe® Automotive Accelerator for AX 2012
In August, Crowe completed development of the Crowe Automotive Accelerator (CAA), built on Microsoft Dynamics® AX 2012. This product launch makes Crowe the most complete automotive supply ERP solution provider in the market. CAA is focused on solving key pain points for Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers. Tier 1 suppliers produce parts directly for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Ford and Toyota. Tier 2 companies, in turn, are the suppliers to Tier 1. Both Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers must abide by complex supply chain rules, defined by the term, “release accounting.”
CAA delivers a robust set of tools for managing release accounting rules directly on the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform. While the list of CAA features and tools is too long to explain here, initial reactions from customers and partners suggest CAA will fulfill a significant need in the automotive supply industry. Another Win in Metals at Olympic Steel
Crowe M&D has won a unique opportunity at Olympic Steel, a top 10 metals service center headquartered in Cleveland. The deal will further establish the leadership of Crowe in the metals space. What is unique about this deal is that prior to engaging Crowe, Olympic had already implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX at one of its plants. The challenge for the company was that the rollout took far too long to complete, was over budget, and involved a high degree of customization. Olympic engaged Crowe to take advantage of the Crowe Metals Accelerator to streamline the rollout to its other facilities, while also limiting the need to maintain custom software.
Crowe and Cincom Inc. Collaborate for Metals Industry Win
In September, Crowe collaborated with Cincom Inc. to win a deal at Metal-Matic Inc. Metal-Matic is a world leader in the production of carbon steel tubing. The tubing is used throughout the world in a wide variety of applications such as automotive, appliance, and construction.
In the spring of 2012, Metal-Matic contacted Cincom to represent Microsoft Dynamics AX in their system selection process. Cincom and Microsoft quickly realized Crowe was needed to provide the industry knowledge and solution Metal-Matic required. Through the course of seven months of demonstrations, follow-up, and negotiations, Crowe and Cincom were able to win the confidence of the Metal-Matic team and secure the software and services sale. The process overall has helped the Crowe team refine its approach to working with other companies.
Past Relationship Provides AX Opportunity at Serv-U-Success
Serv-U-Success (SUS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Meijer Inc. providing 3PL, logistics, and in-store merchandising for more than 200 stores in seven states. When the IT director at Serv-U-Success started his search for a new enterprise solution, he immediately thought of Crowe. In the late ’90s, Crowe professionals worked with him and his team on various projects at Herman Miller Inc. He commented, “That experience was extremely positive and the main reason I reached out to Crowe.”
Crowe proposed Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and competed against three other enterprise solutions during the selection process. Ultimately, the solution, and the confidence in Crowe, helped win the business.
