Credit balance management is not the sexiest area of the revenue cycle. It does not bring money into the organization and as a result, can sometimes get stuck in the “that’s the way we’ve always done it” trap. With regulatory reporting and managed care contract requirements, credit balance management is an important activity, but one that is still a manual process for many healthcare providers. During this session we will examine how organizations are assessing their current process, determining where data integration and automation can be applied, and discussing what steps they employ to combine the skills of expert staff and data science.
