Tax Manager

Location: Dublin, but hybrid working available

Crowe is a leading business advisory and accountancy firm, ranking among the top 10 firms in Ireland. The firm currently has 14 partners and over 120 staff.

Crowe Ireland’s tax department comprises 30 people spread into two teams, each headed by two tax partners. Each team provides tax services across all tax heads, but supported by internal specialists in VAT, employment taxes and CAT. While most staff provide tax advice across all tax heads, each member is supported if they have a specific interest in developing advisory skills in a particular area of tax.

Due to the transfer of a substantial tax portfolio to the department as a result of mergers, we are recruiting a Tax Manager for one of the aforementioned teams.

This Tax Manager role will provide a platform for anyone seeking to broaden their overall managerial knowledge and skills within a busy, dynamic, and growing tax department. The job holder will work with senior team members across the practice to develop tax structures for clients.

The core work ethic of the team is that the department adopts a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere. This is best described as a “cylindrical” approach where the contribution of each team member in developing excellent client service is recognised and rewarded.

The tax manager will work closely with the two partners within their team. They will have a mix of compliance clients and advisory projects. They will have access to a pool of trainees within their assigned teams who will offer support in preparing tax returns across all tax heads.

The role is ideally suited to an individual with 3-5 years PQE looking for career progression within a fast-paced, growing tax department.
