Senior Manager, Corporate Finance

Reporting to: Corporate Finance Partner

Contract type: Full-time, permanent

The post holder will be responsible for managing the completion of corporate finance engagements/projects including M&A transaction support (buy-side and sell-side), debt advisory, corporate structuring and business valuations. The post holder will also supervise and direct a team of full and part qualified professionals during assignments.

Key result areas

  1. Manage the completion of corporate finance engagements/projects including:
    • Business sale mandates
    • M&A due diligence
    • Debt and equity fundraising
    • Transaction structuring
    • Valuations
    • Strategic advisory
  2. Proactively and reactively provide consultative advice to clients and partners on specific projects and deliver within the agreed specified time frames.
  3. Work alongside and in support of the partners, originate new business opportunities and proactively develop and maintain new and existing client portfolios, relationships and key intermediaries.
  4. Lead and manage relevant project teams and workflow plans in order to deliver a high-quality client service within the specified timescales.
  5. Attend and present findings at client meetings.
  6. Proactively manage WIP/debtor ledger in keeping with the firm's policies.
  7. Be fully conversant and understand the authority levels of this role and those of all relevant stakeholders to ensure full compliance with the firm's policies, procedures and regulations.
  8. Manage the day-to-day supervision, on-the-job training and mentoring of a team of full and part qualified professionals and fully participate in all performance management initiatives as required.

Person specification

Essential knowledge & skills:

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification with 8 + years PQE
  • Prior knowledge of corporate finance experience in a professional practice or a corporate role in industry
  • Highly skilled at financial analysis and financial modelling
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills – especially in Report Writing and PPT presentation
  • Proven project Management skills and experience. Must enjoy managing a wide range of multiple tasks/projects at any one time
  • Commercially savvy and astute
