About the role

As a freelance designer, you will support the ongoing marketing and brand work carried out by the marketing department. You would report directly to the Marketing Director working on a wide range of assignments. In this role, you will need to demonstrate creativity with a sharp eye for details. Your goal is to create high-quality impactful work that captures the firm’s brand and promotes our commercial objectives.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who can add value by pragmatically applying graphic design knowledge and creative skills. Someone who is reliable and trustworthy, able to manage their time effectively and takes ownership of projects. This role would ideally suit a midweight designer, based in Ireland, who is committed to a freelance career and is available during normal business working hours.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the firm in creating branding, sales and marketing collateral – this could include corporate brochures, posters, signage, pop-up stands and logos etc
  • Understand and apply brand guidelines to all collateral
  • Be able to deliver projects on time and to the specified requirement
  • Assist in finding creative solutions to design challenges
  • Produce final design solutions and print artwork 

Essential knowledge & skills

  • Degree in graphic design or creative digital media and visual communications
  • Good working knowledge of the whole Adobe creative suite: such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere
  • Knowledge of After Effects and HTML are a significant plus
  • Experience of producing assets for digital/social media platforms
  • Proven experience with creating final artwork for print production
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications, such as PowerPoint
  • Strong time management, organisational and communication skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest design trends and an understanding of business graphic design elements
  • A creative flair, a clear understanding of visual elements and a good eye for detail
