Job purpose

Crowe is a leading business advisory and accountancy firm, ranking among the top 10 firms in Ireland. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are now seeking to recruit a Assistant Manager to join a busy, dynamic Corporate Finance department. The firm currently has 14 partners and over 130 staff.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting managing the completion of corporate finance engagements / projects including IBRs, transaction structuring, valuations, M&A advisory, strategic advice, debt negotiations, financial modelling, due diligence, preparation of business plans and asset management. The post holder may be required to supervise and direct trainees during assignments.

Key result areas

  1. Assist and actively participate with the management of the completion of corporate finance engagements / projects including IBRs, transaction structuring, valuations, M&A advisory, strategic advice, debt negotiations, financial modelling, due diligence, preparation of business plans and asset management.
  2. Proactively and reactively provide consultative advice to clients and Partners on specific projects and deliver within the agreed specified time frames.
  3. Assist with the delivery of project teams and work flow plans in order to deliver a high quality client service within the specified timescales.  
  4. Attend client meetings, present (using PowerPoint) and maintain up to date records.
  5. Ensure all relevant client files are administered, maintained and accurately filed in line with the firm’s policies.
  6. Work alongside and support Partners to originate new business opportunities and proactively develop and maintain new and existing client portfolios, relationships and key intermediaries.
  7. Assist with the management of the WIP / Debtor Ledger in keeping with the firm’s policies.
  8. Be fully conversant and understand the authority levels of this role and those of all relevant stakeholders to ensure full compliance with the Firm’s policies, procedures and regulations.
  9. Manage the day-to-day supervision, on-the-job training and mentoring of junior staff allocated to audit assignment and fully participate in all Performance Management initiatives as required.

Person specification

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification plus 1 + PQE
  • Prior knowledge of corporate finance experience in a professional practice or a corporate role in industry.
  • Highly skilled at financial analysis and financial modelling skills
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills – especially in Report Writing and PPT Presentation
  • Proven project Management skills and experience. Must enjoy managing a wide range of multiple tasks/projects at any one time.
  • Commercially savvy and astute.
