This progressive role will provide a platform for anyone seeking to further broaden their chartered secretarial knowledge and skills within a busy, dynamic and growing company secretarial department. This department provides expert advice and support in relation to company law matters to our audit, tax, corporate finance and insolvency teams.

Nature and scope

This role operates within an agile team of three people where the volume of work can vary depending on deadlines and the flow of work from other departments.   

Key result areas

  1. Following clearly established processes, to administer the management of annual compliance matters for clients and ensuring timely filings to the Companies Registration Office and the maintenance of statutory books and records.
  2. Using relevant template documents, prepare and deliver for review all necessary Companies Registration Office forms, notices and resolutions including but not limited to change of name, change of constitution, changes to share capital.
  3. Prepare and deliver for review all paperwork in connection with the incorporation of companies. 
  4. Over time, be prepared to attend a wide range of client board meetings to take minutes, ensuring the decisions taken are recorded accurately.
  5. Liaise closely and build effective working relationships with staff in all disciplines (tax, audit etc.) to facilitate and support our clients.
  6. Be fully conversant and understand the authority levels of this role and those of all relevant stakeholders to ensure full compliance with the firm’s policies, procedures and regulations.
  7. Manage the day-to-day supervision, on-the-job training and mentoring of junior staff and fully participate in all performance management initiatives as required.

Person specification

Essential knowledge & skills:

  • A primary degree in Business or Law; and/or MSc in Management and Corporate Governance (ICSA Grad).
  • Sound, practical working knowledge of Irish company law is essential.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills. Strong MS Word and Excel skills are essential.
  • A proven ability to apply project management skills to handle multiple tasks/projects at any one time.
  • 2+ years PQE in a similar role essential.
  • Previous experience and ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
