As CEO-elect of Crowe Horwath International, effective 1 April 2018, David will assume responsibility for leading Crowe Horwath International one of the top 10 global professional services networks with more than 35,000 professionals. The member firms of Crowe Horwath International deliver independent audit, tax and advisory needs to global and local institutions throughout the world.
For more than 25 years, David has led a distinguished career advising international businesses and their shareholders on tax matters. He is a specialist in the areas of corporate and cross-border taxation, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations.
Until recently, David was Chief Executive of Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP and served as a board member of Crowe Horwath International for more than four years.
He is a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
David studied at Oxford University before training as a tax-articled chartered accountant (ACA) in London focusing on large multinational groups. He moved on qualification to specialize on project and deal-focused cross-border tax advice. After five years in an accountancy environment, he joined a UK merchant bank specializing in public M&A before resuming his tax career in public practice.
