The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (“bots”) have the healthcare industry’s attention – but the application and adoption of such an autonomous environment have been less successful overall. In this session, we will cover how the “journey” to automation is as important as the destination. Along that path, we will discuss the need for an “upskilled” workforce as we transition from human supported by digital, to digital managed by humans.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify key elements and goals along the journey to automation
- Address the characteristics of an “upskilled” workforce
- Describe which key functions (within Finance and Revenue Cycle) have the most opportunity for automation
- Consider the management changes necessary within a transition from “humans supported by digital” to “digital managed by humans”
This session is recommended for 1.0 hours of CPE credit.
