Brian Keida (Atlanta) first got involved with HouseProud Atlanta when his neighbor asked him to join him during volunteering for a day of service. HouseProud works with community groups to identify seniors, veterans and disabled people in need of home repairs, so they can remain in their homes longer – living independently and comfortably. Brian’s experience volunteering with HouseProud was so rewarding that he thought it would be a great opportunity for others in Crowe’s Atlanta office to also get involved. “Last year, Crowe joined with ten area businesses and around 150 people during a one-day blitz to help make repairs to eight homes in the area,” explained Brian, who also chairs the Atlanta office’s volunteer and charitable committee. “Many of the people we helped had lived in their homes for more than 30 years and couldn’t afford to make the necessary repairs. Seeing the condition of these homes and how appreciative the homeowners were that we were helping them out really made me happy.” Brian has continued his involvement with HouseProud and serves on its board as treasurer.
