Career Exploration Day
Crowe held its first Early Career Exploration Day, inviting students from universities in the Chicago area to learn about Crowe. The goal was to attract, educate, evaluate and further recruit a diverse group of top students from the freshmen to junior level who have the potential to feed our Learn2Lead and internship programs. Nearly 20 students participated in the event, which included:
  • Welcome and overview: Led by Stuart Miller (Oak Brook), the Oak Brook and Chicago office managing partner, and Julie Wood (Oak Brook), our chief people officer
  • Improve-It improvisational workshop: Led by Erin Diehl, founder and CEO of ImproveIt!
  • A business unit panel: Facilitated by Karen Thompson (Oak Brook), our diversity and inclusion leader, and including Dave Delgado (Oak Brook), Blake Evans (Chicago), Judy Harris (Oak Brook), Matt Oriente (Chicago), Tapan Shah (Oak Brook)
  • An office tour: Led by Patrick Smith (Tax/CHI) and Megan Soresen (Chicago)
  • Closing and final comments: Led by Brian Sanderson (Oak Brook)

“We received great feedback from the students indicating that this event exceeded their expectations and they would definitely be interested in further exploring and being considered for career opportunities at Crowe,” shared Brian Buchheit (Chicago), who coordinated efforts. “Based on this positive response we’re looking to roll out Early Career Exploration Days in more Crowe offices later this fiscal year.” View photos from the activities.
