Heritage Month Asian
May is National Asian/Pacific Heritage Month, celebrating the culture and contributions of Asian/Pacific Americans. Through the activities of our Asian People Resource Network (PRN), Crowe celebrates Asian/Pacific Americans and promotes diversity and inclusion across the firm. Open to everyone in the firm, Crowe has four PRNs – Asian, African American, Latino and LGBT – that promote inclusion efforts and activities for the firm. Earlier this year, Crowe sponsored the Lunar New Year dinner for Ascend’s Los Angeles chapter. Lunar New Year is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. More than 200 professionals and students attended the Los Angeles dinner, including 10 Asian PRN members, making it the chapter’s biggest Lunar New Year dinner ever. “The event was a wonderful experience to meet and interact with people from various firms and backgrounds,” said Katherine Wong (Risk/LAX). “This event aids in Crowe recruitment by showcasing its support our firm has for programs like these. It also helps get our name out there, especially increasing our presence on the West Coast.”
