Jodi Kippe
Jodi Kippe (Fort Lauderdale) joined Crowe’s South Bend office in 1985 as a staff member in Audit and has spent her career working exclusively with retail dealership clients. Today’s she’s an Audit partner and recently took on a new firmwide role, becoming managing partner of Crowe’s Retail Dealer industry vertical.

Q: Over your 30-plus years at Crowe, how has the firm supported your career growth?
A: I’ve had a lot of great opportunities and mentors. In 1995, with the support of the firm and two former partners, I was among five professionals who moved to Fort Lauderdale to open Crowe’s new office. The move gave me the opportunity to serve many of our largest retail dealer services clients. I also became more market-focused after the move, presenting at national and regional events to help raise Crowe’s visibility and developing and maintaining business relationships with many key industry leaders.

Q. In your new leadership role, what are your responsibilities?

A. As the industry vertical managing partner, I am responsible for continuing those relationships with key industry leaders and for driving the firm’s “One Crowe” approach, which provides comprehensive Deep Specialization of all services to retail dealership clients -- auto, heavy-duty truck, RV, motorcycle, boat and heavy equipment dealers. Additionally, I continue to serve in leadership roles on Audit business unit and firmwide committees.

Q: What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?

A: Moving from South Bend to Fort Lauderdale – this was a significant move both personally and professionally. I was a senior manager and my son was four months old, so it was a big move for our family.

Q: What would people be surprised to learn about you?
A: I’m a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Commonly known as the Soo Tribe, it is a federally recognized Native American tribe in what is now known as Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
