We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will use data to help leadership make informed financial decisions to support the firm’s continued growth and success. This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate must be able to commute to our Toronto office as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze financial data to provide insight on the firm’s financial status
- Analyze external economic and business trends to identify potential opportunities or risks
- Conduct business studies on past performance and develop forecast models; assess the financial impact and risk of potential business decisions
- Monitor financial performance and provide regular updates/reports to leadership
- Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making
- Provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
- Plan short- and long-term cash flows
- Assist in preparing operating budgets
Qualifications:
- Two to three years of experience as a Finance Analyst in a professional services environment
- CPA an asset
- Appropriate and relevant undergraduate degree (commerce, accounting, or finance)
- Proficient in MS Office, financial software applications (Dynamics 365 an asset)
- Hands on experience with statistical analysis
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
- Proven knowledge and experience with financial forecasting, diagnosis, and information analysis
- Strong understanding of the accounting industry as well as current financial markets and economic trends
