Day 1

You're on a Board, Now What?

9:00 - 12:00 p.m.

This session will discuss your fiduciary responsibilities as a director, board orientation, and onboarding, and will include a workshop on how to draft a code of conduct for your board.

Running Meetings in Better Directions

1:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Preparation can make or break an important meeting, make sure you make the most of your time, remain productive and efficient, and properly document meeting outcomes.

Day 2

Hosting Exceptional Public Meetings

9:00 - 9:40 a.m.

Ensure your processes and communications are transparent for maximum efficiency when bringing together diverse groups of stakeholders.

Board Dynamics

9:40 - 12:00 p.m.

Proper composition of the board is critical for success and should consider members’ skills, qualifications, independence, diversity, tenure, and refreshment. When additional depth of knowledge and capacity is required, learn how committees can support the board.

Financial Literacy for the Non-Financial Governance Professional

1:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Understand your role, as well as the role of the audit committee and auditors in the preparation, presentation, and analysis of financial information.

Day 3

Driving Change

9:00 - 12:00 p.m.

Learn how to be proactive rather than reactive, employing tools such as dashboards and non-financial metrics to help assess progress and future sustainability.
