What can you expect as an Accounting Co-op Student

  • Preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of corporate year ends, which includes compilation, review and audit engagements;
  • Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns, including related filings and schedules;
  • Client bookkeeping and related services; and
  • Special project work assignments.

What will it take to be successful as an Accounting Co-op Student?

In order for the Co-op Student to be successful in their role, they should possess the following qualifications and strive for excellence in the skills listed below:

  • Self-motivated and detail-orientated team player;
  • Successfully obtained/pursuing an undergraduate degree that meets the CPA program prerequisites, preferably a BComm or BBA (accounting focused);
  • Excellent communication and client service skills; and
  • A willingness to learn.
