Christopher McClure leads the Midwest forensic accounting services group. He has more than 20 years of experience in forensic matters, including:

  • Serving as a neutral arbitrator or consultant in merger and acquisition disputes
  • Conducting internal and external fraud investigations for SEC registrants and private enterprises across a wide variety of industries
  • Designing and implementing regulatory compliance programs for conflict minerals, human trafficking, and other supply chain transparency measures

Christopher has an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Prior to joining Crowe, Christopher worked for Navigant Consulting and Arthur Andersen.



  • Served as a neutral arbitrator in several post-acquisition earn-out and purchase price disputes in healthcare, professional services, and other industries
  • Served as a specialist and consultant in numerous post-acquisition disputes on behalf of corporate clients and private equity groups


  • Analyzed fraud allegations in defense of shareholder interests related to a reverse merger into U.S. capital markets
  • Evaluated the financial implications of a failed multibillion-dollar international merger, including revenue and cash flow projections, operational analyses, and sensitivity modeling
  • Investigated accounting, financial reporting, and operational concerns raised by corporate whistleblowers
  • Provided an independent investigation of improper accounting entries and financial reporting manipulations to quantify amounts for financial restatement
  • Assisted counsel to companies facing SEC inquiries into historical option granting processes

Dispute Resolution

  • Engaged as a specialist to analyze damages in a breach-of-contract suit alleging lost profits due to impaired sales and reputation harm
  • Calculated damages and settlement for policyholders arbitrating historical liability coverage for environmental, asbestos, and other liability claims
  • Assisted in determining remediation costs to support depositions and expert testimony
  • Testified to the state pollution control board in defense of penalties related to delayed compliance with air regulations
  • Assisted counsel in the defense of a major CPA firm regarding financial audits related to contractual adjustments and payments to insurance providers
